I assume your question isn’t about replacing the rabbi’s role as mentor, given that AI lacks human experiences, emotions, and the ability to empathize. Much of what a rabbi does involves connecting with individuals on a personal and emotional level, understanding their unique circumstances within the greater context, and providing guidance accordingly. AI cannot replicate the depth of human connection required for spiritual counseling and support.

A parent can easily say "no" 200-300 times a day to a young child. After a barrage of "no's," a child can become so inured to the pain that he stops listening. Obviously, a parent must set limits, but it is also essential to show empathy as you do so. Teaching children to face life's endless disappointments, losses and frustrations with determination and discipline is what helps them build ego-strengths! Even if they rant and rave and accuse you of being the meanest parent on earth, they will – one day - appreciate the fact that you cared enough to protect them. Furthermore, upholding your pr

During the Chmielnitzki Massacres (see entry for 4 Sivan), a Cossack mob gathered around the fortified town of Olyka. Among the Jews who had found refuge inside was R. David Halevi (the Taz), a refugee from the nearby city of Ostroh. As the Cossacks prepared to breach the walls, the Jews gathered in prayer in the synagogue. Weak and tired, R. David drifted off to an uneasy sleep, and in his dream he envisioned the verse, “I will protect this city to save it, for My sake and for the sake of My servant David” (II Kings 19:34). Indeed, the old cannons atop the walls miraculously fired spontaneou

You did something wrong. Of that, you’re sure. Does that mean you must forever publicly beat your chest to be accepted in polite society? A closer look at the High Priest’s confession on Yom Kippur tells an empowering story about how we ought to look at our past—and our future.
